Registered Veterinary Technician

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

We are seeking several full-time RVTs to join our currently growing, locally owned and operated veterinary practice and would like to offer you the opportunity to be an active participant with room to grow.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Performing diagnostic tests

  • Administering medications, prescriptions, vaccines and anesthetic

  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments

  • Preparation of equipment for surgical and/or dental procedures

  • Triaging and providing emergency treatment and nursing care for patients

  • Take initiative in working collaboratively

Qualifications:

  • Registered technician(s) with ABMVA

  • New Graduates Welcome

  • Strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to new and changing situations.

  • Desire to learn and excel

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Proficient in anesthetic induction/maintenance

  • Self motivated

Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a full-time VA to join our currently growing, locally owned and operated veterinary practice and would like to offer you the opportunity to be an active participant with room to grow.


Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Welcome visitors, maintain reception area and all common areas.

  • Answering phones, appointment scheduling and maintaining patient records

  • Operate standard office equipment

  • Computer proficiency

  • Assist with patient handling and care

  • Assist with medical procedures

  • Cleaning/sterilization practices 

  • Kennel care

  • Driving of Mobile unit and/or deliveries


Qualifications:

  • Motivation and ability to learn new skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Required to have a valid driver’s license and supply current drivers abstract

  • Experience in the veterinary field or Veterinary Office or Assistant Certificate an asset
